The story
For their final course of the semester, a group of students set off on a lakeside camping trip to build a world model. As we immerse ourselves in their friendship and thoughts on the AI revolution, we gradually begin to question what is real and what is part of the model. A neural network learns by getting things wrong, measuring the error and improving through backpropagation. How do you learn from a mistake you never made? For Carl and Nadja, the answer lies somewhere between what happened at the lake and what he imagines.
